Break down the tasks into small and manageable parts. Some people find if they take a room and divide the room into 4 sections they don’t get so overwhelmed. The one-quarter of the room and once that section is done then move on to the next. Move in a clockwise direction from the door.
Also, don’t work for too long. Set a timer and when the time is up stop. Immediately deal with what you have sorted. Throw out the trash, box up the donations. Now put the donation box in the car and take it to the donation center. Once it is gone you will feel better and can see your accomplishments.
Some people find doing a room or even a drawer a day is what works for them. Find what works best for you and set a schedule.
Before you know it you will be organized and have your clutter controlled.
Don’t forget to reward your self with a bite of chocolate.
You can control clutter and get organized. 🐝 When you do you will find things easier and faster.
Thanks Pamela

We recently moved and my husband did all the packing (scary I know). So I put an empty Rubbermaid in the dinning room and as I unpack and say to myself, I don’t want that. I stuck it in the Rubbermaid. I am not close to being done but the Rubbermaid is full. I am going to do a big garage sell on Oct 20 (when the weather is cool and then donate it to my favorite place.

Meghan that is absolutely the best thing you can do! So thrilled that you are talking the initiative and downsizing stuff you don’t want. What a great way to meet new neighbors and make some money!

YAY chocolate!! A little at a time totally helps. Sometimes I even schedule an organizing day with myself in advance. That way I can prepare, mentally. I did this with my closet and made sure that all the laundry was caught up BEFORE I organized and ended up donating THREE trash bags full of clothes.
