National Sneak Some Zucchini onto Your Neighbor’s Porch Day

I am amazed at all the national days.  But for anyone who has ever grown a garden and grown zucchini you know by now you are overrun with the fruits of your labor.  caroline-attwood-301748.jpg

You have made fried zucchini, zucchini bread, zucchini pie (it’s a lot like pumpkin), zucchini lasagna, pasta,  fritters, stuffed zucchini, and just about anything else you can think of and yet the zucchini keeps on producing…..  Now you know why this day was created.

How about on August the 8 which is national sneak some zucchini onto your neighbor’s porch day… you also help your neighbor out.  Introduce yourself if you don’t already know your neighbors.  If you do give them a call.  Just being friendly is an easy thing to do and you will be the one to reap the rewards.  Not just the fact that you can get some zucchini to a new home,brooke-cagle-32431.jpg

  1. I didn’t know National leave some zucchini on a neighbor’s proch day had come and gone. I have been celebrating it all month it seems. I have left zucchini, squash (crookneck yellow), aubergines, cucumbers, tomatoes, brussel sprouts and green peppers on all my neighbors porches……they run now when they see me coming.
