Sunglasses, Eyeglasses or reading glasses –

Do you have glasses everywhere?

Do you have some many you that are pulling out your hair?

Do you have them in a drawer?

Do you not need them any more?

Do you have lots in a box?

Do you think they make you look like a fox?

“Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.” Dr. Seuss

Did you know you can drop off old eyeglasses at any Lenscrafters store and they’ll recycle them?

Or the Lions Clubs also have Lions Recycle for Sight

I love your comments.

I am from Oklahoma. Now living the dream in Arizona. I'm a sassy, creative and outspoken southern gal. I believe that if you can read you can go anywhere. One of my favorite sayings is "If you knew you could not fail what would you do?" I enjoy helping other people. My friends know that I’m the queen of useless trivial knowledge and I will not hesitate to use it.

  1. Lots of great tips on this blog. I think I’m sorted on this one though – I do have four pairs, two each of distance and reading so I always have spares. Oh, hang on, five – a pair in my favourite colour but which don’t match every outfit so I keep them for “best”. I think that’s legitimate! We also have places in the uk where you can recycle old frames – it’s a brilliant idea and I always hand my old prescriptions in.

I see you live in Arizona – we visited there a few years ago, one of our best ever vacations. I don’t cope with the heat all that well, but to see beautiful places you have to make sacrifices!

Thanks for visiting The Glasgow Gallivanter.

  2. Well I just went to the eye doctor and after 8 years of reading glasses I have now graduated to full glasses, but still only for work, computer, reading, etc. I do have a pair of readers in almost every room in my house, which I love because I always seem to need them and never remember to bring my original readers with me. So now I have my full glasses for work, my prior readers for just in case, and all the other readers for each room! My brother is a member of the Lions Club and it is a wonderful thing that they do regarding sight and glasses, etc. Please donate them to the Lions Club! Thanks for mentioning that!! 🙂

  3. Really enjoyed this one….it made me smile. Dr. Suess – brilliant. And I smiled because my husband has pairs laying around……his Walmart readers. I only have one pair and they are firmly on my head or I cannot see.

  4. Glasses…yes…lots..

    In the car
    In a jar
Even have one on a bar

Ack prose is not really me…but yes…even tried contact lenses but decided swimming is their best placement…too fiddly…especially after the bar glasses…

I must declutter my kitchen now…way too many glasses in there too.

Thank you so much for your kind comments on my blog and I have appeared here to return the kindness and also follow your blog…hope you don’t mind 🙃

      1. Then we’ll met…I have, sadly, little time to cross populate comments on blogs I follow so when I do…there has to be banter in tow…and a few rambles….anything to try and draw smiles in fact…and to show my own followers that I really do appreciate their time and comments too 😊
